Iceburn - when I went down for my sister's wedding, we stayed at a place called The Laughing Dove in Morningside:
"Jerald and Jacky Rabie welcome you to the Laughing Dove Holiday Home. Situated in the lovely lush and exclusive suburb of Morningside on the Berea.
We cater especially for the travelling family and businessperson. We are conveniently located for the business areas of the CBD including the International Convention Centre.
Ready access to the N3 and N2 freeways North and South, provides rapid travel to and from Durban International Airport.
For the holiday maker the many attractions of Durban including the beaches, the Botanic Gardens, Kingsmead and Absa Kings Park stadium are a few minutes away including an excellent municipal golf course (Windsor).
The house is tastefully furnished and consists of 3 bedrooms main being en-suite. A garden flat which can accommodate 4 persons and a second garden flat which accommodates 2 persons. All bedrooms are fitted with air-conditioning.
There is secure parking, access via remote control, covered braai area which is next to the swimming pool (fitted with safety net) in a lovely garden. Laundry facilities are available plus the house is serviced. Telephone and fax facilities available on request.
The house has DStv (also channel to main bedroom) and a fully fitted open plan kitchen. We are a 3 star rated establishment with the SA Tourism Board.
We are a non smoking establishment, but smokers are welcome to indulge, on the verandah or in the garden.
All rooms serviced daily (includes kitchen cleaning)."

Give them a shout about rates - can't remember what they gave me, but I think it was about R300 per night for the 2 person unit.
Hope this helps bud.
