Hi All,

Our next event is scheduled for the 4th October at the Zwartkops Raceway.

Some of you may have already received this information so to ensure everyone has a chance to respond I am sending it again.

We have booked the skidpan for the morning session and the main circuit for the afternoon.

For this course we will concentrate more on collision avoidance techniques and skid control as well as understanding the safety technology built by Renault.
Of course there will be a timed gymkhana as well as practical tricks and handling techniques for added fun.

The circuit sessions will concentrate on specific corners and cornering techniques with demonstration on the correct and incorrect line and what makes preparation before cornering so vital.

This will be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the courses we have held previously.

In order to secure the date we need to know what the level of interest is as soon as possible.

Please let me know by return email to this address if you would like to join us.

Hi Cuzzens

Subject: Renault Driver Training Zwartkops this Sunday the 4th October

Hullo Everyone,

We have an amazing event planned for you so bring your smiles on Sunday.

Arrival time is 08h00 for 08h30 latest please.

A map to Zwartkops is attached if you need.

When you arrive at the race circuit follow the tarred perimeter road all the way. Drive past the skidpan which
you will see on your left hand side and follow the road.

There will be other activities going on at the circuit so you need to head straight for the main pit complex, passing the kart circuit on your left.

We will be there to welcome you, get you registered and parked.

Shed 3 is our dedicated control point and briefing room with facilities.

We will arrange for the restaurant to provide tea, coffee and a toasted sandwich in the morning with lunch in the afternoon.

Refreshments (of the non-alcoholic type) will be available until the completion of the training.

The circuit closes at 16h00 and we will be done shortly after that with prize-giving.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly on my mobile phone.

Tip: Check the weather report for Sunday, if the wind blows it can be chilly at Zwartkops.

Wear suitable flat-soled shoes and most of all – Enjoy the experience.

See you on Sunday.

Regards

Gavin Kelsey

“THE ARENA CIRCUIT”
There are a number of ways to get to Zwartkops from the Johannesburg area.
The most common way is past Kyalami – just keep going for 26km on the R55 Pretoria West. This
road can get full on big international race days.
From Johannesburg, get onto the Krugersdorp Highway and head North. Take the R55 off-ramp
and turn left at the stop street. Keep going straight through the traffic circle, and after about 10
minutes you will reach Zwartkops on your left.
The next best alternative route is through Erasmia. Take the M26. This is the road that goes past
Deep Sloot (William Nichol R511) becoming the M26. Just follow this road through to Erasmia –
look to your right and there is Zwartkops. At R55 T-junction (robot) turn right. Zwartkops is on your
right.
From Pretoria – go past the old Iscor steelworks follow the R55 South past Laudium.
From the East Rand – on the R21 – pass over the Pietersburg/Pretoria Highway (M1). Take the
next turnoff (M10 Hans Strydom Drive) – turn left at robot towards Pretoria West. Follow the M10 –
At the 8th robot turn right (R55) – Zwartkops is on your left + 2 km.

Kind Regards
Da Cuz
